Merriam-Webster’s Word of the Year for 2023 is selected due to a high volume of searches for real meaning driven by artificial intelligence, stories, social media, culture and identity.
This word reminded of a post I read at Story Hub. It happened in Florida. For 40-odd years, Florida was stricken by a Sea Monster of Clearwater in 1948. Finally, in 1988, the truth was revealed.
