RDP Sunday: byssus

Very happy Sunday and the Ragtag Daily Prompt is BYSSUS.

I had to look it up too. Blame Martha Kennedy. (https://marthakennedy.wordpress.com/) She said that the Accidental Reef is a marvelous book. I requested it for my birthday, my daughter got it for me and well, there are sections about zebra mussel byssal complexes which are stronger than those of some other mussel species. It really is a marvelous book.

Draw a byssus, invent one or many, make a mussel costume, cosplay at the local sci-fi or science fair, record your byssal complex song and dance routine. Link back here and remember to check out all of the other contributions.
