    Ladies did adore me
    Till diamonds made a show

    Them diamonds they were cheaper
    (Like some old Chinese junk)
    While nacres we were cultured
    In sea where we was sunk

    Then hundred long years later
    The ladies then did see
    Us nacres were the cultured ones
    And finally wanted me
