“Every person is able to add beauty, whether by growing flowers, or singing, or cooking luscious meals, or raising sweet pets. Every part of life can be art.” — Cynthia Rylant
Our word prompt for today is LUSCIOUS and I think this delicious looking strawberry illustrates it very well. Interestingly enough, the word LUSCIOUS and the word DELICIOUS derive from the Latin verb delicere, meaning “to entice by charm or attraction.” Two points for you if you use both words in your post. 🙂
Compose a post and share your interpretation of today’s word in prose, poetry, or pictures. Use “Ragtag Daily Prompt” and “RDP” as tags, plus whatever other tags apply to your post, like Fiction, Story, Poem, Photo, etc. Specific tags make your posts easier for fellow bloggers to find in the Reader.
Pingback your posts to this page or copy-paste your links in the comment thread here. And while you’re around, browse through the other posts bloggers have worked on. We look forward to seeing how you interpret LUSCIOUS.
A silly little story!

I’ve set my post for today to private. I’d like to delete the wingback. I will also no longer be following this prompt.

I’ve very recently come off of my nerve pain meds from surgery last year, which means that soon I’ll FINALLY be able to have a much desired bottle of Italian beer that my husband bought for me nearly a year ago– can beer be luscious? I think so. Right now, its refreshing, light bubbles are about all that I can think about, along with my husband’s delicious cheddar beer bread freshly made last night. Beers! I mean, cheers. :-).

Cheddar beer? With real cheddar ground up in it? Oops! you said beer bread. Okay, that computes. 😉
I don’t know about luscious beer. Normally one associates luscious with “juicy” — so it might pass.
