RDP SATURDAY: MIXED FEELINGS

Hello everyone!
First of all I would like to thank the RDP team for being so supportive. Last Saturday my post was in the drafts, but I was holidaying in a region with no network coverage. One of the ragtag team members very thoughtfully published my post…thank you!
This is the last Saturday of 2019 and it seems just yesterday we were celebrating its arrival! Like each year, it has been a year of a few ups and some downs. The concerns about environment and peace remain, though efforts by common citizens continue.

In India we are in a turmoil over the Citizenship Amendment Act which is divisive on the basis of religion. Students are on a protest in the biting cold. The government seems oblivious to the concerns of the citizens (nothing new!). It is heartening to see people from all walks of life and various religions supporting the students.
Each year has its highs and lows and certainly when one looks back one has mixed feelings. So, the prompt for 28th Dec 2019 is, “Mixed feelings”!
