RDP-Sunday–TIMELY

Practicing law for nearly 30 years gave me one giant anxiety button–being on time. In the county where I started, there were judges who expected the attorneys to be in place when the courtroom doors opened. If you were late the best you could hope for was a tongue lashing. The worst was the holding cell.

Checking the calendar two or three times the night before, arriving at the office at 6am, leaving for the courthouse in time to wait in the hallway for the courtroom to open, those were my working routines.

But retirement has obliterated the habits. Days blend, one to another. What day is this? What time is this? Was I suppose to be somewhere or do something today?
