Here is the Ragtag Daily Prompt for Thursday, 8 November 2018 — PETRICHOR.
This is one of my favourite words and favourite smells. Little did I know that the chemistry behind this phenomenon and the term given to it, was first described by two Australian scientists. I’m being cryptic, but half the fun is in the discovery, right?
So, create a post (words/images/both) inspired by this word!

I look forward to your contributions.
Kind Regards
Tracy

It is such a beautiful smell that it should definitely have a name for it. 🙂

My husband taught me that word. He is the clever one. My memory is shot to pieces because of my low blood glucose episodes so we have to use new words frequently to make them sink in. 🙂

No blog post today, but this word takes me right back to a day in New Mexico with my Grandmother. We were shopping and when we stepped outside it started to rain. That was the first time I noticed this amazing smell. Who knew there was a word for it??
