Here in England in summer, oranges were not the only fruit: apricots glowed on the greengrocer’s market stall, and peaches and nectarines blushed prettily above their yellow-orange skin. Now though, the oranges, tangerines, nadorcotts, satsumas and mandarins have their vivid orange moments. At sunset, the sun flushes richly, while in the pond below, goldfish swish silently around. We light fires again. What does ‘orange‘ mean to you?
