A simple word with so many definitions:

1 a : to bear patiently : tolerate

b : to endure without yielding : withstand

2 : to wait for : await

3 : to accept without objection

4 : to remain stable or fixed in a state

5 : to continue in a place : sojourn

It brings to mind the home of my great-grandmother. Slightly musty. Old elegance in tatted doilies and over-stuffed chairs.

Does it stir your memories? Does it bring thoughts long gone to your mind?

You know the rules (most of you, I bet) just write what you will–a song, a poem, an essay, a story. Or send a photograph. Let your creativity run wild (sorta). Set your pingback and use the tags “RDP”, “Ragtag Daily Prompt” and “ABIDE”.
