RDP #51: DUCK

I wanted to do “hootamaganzy” because it’s such a fun word but unfortunately the meaning is too narrow as it’s a hooded merganser, a type of duck.  Still who wouldn’t love a word that started with hoot!  Hootenanny would have been fun too. But in the interest of not having 20 essays on a hooded merganser, I went with the more generic “duck” as it has lots of meanings.  I hope you enjoy this one!

Do give pingbacks a little time.  Occasionally random pingbacks end up in the spam folder — don’t worry, we all check it regularly and will fish folks out and approve them.

    1. I put the photo as a featured image so it shows on the main page. You’re right though that on this theme, the featured image doesn’t show the photo so I’ll add it into the post. Thanks for bringing it up.

      1. The time may vary because the Prompters live in different time zones. This one came out a little early. From my quick calculation, it should come out around 5am your time, but as I said this one came out earlier so it has already been posted for the day. 🙂

      2. Not sure what you’re talking about as I posted on Arizona time because I live in Tucson. It was posted sometime between 1am and 3am Arizona time on Saturday July 21 because I handpost them before I go to bed. If I don’t handpost them in the early AM hours to ensure it goes out, I wake up to lot of emails of people worrying about when will it go out. This is a Saturday post so by 3am Saturday it was posted. I don’t post on Friday because I don’t want to infringe on Curious Steph’s gold post.So if you checked at 7pm Arizona time Saturday, this post was posted. The Sunday post should not post for a few more hours.
