How has the week been shaping up in the blogging world? We’re on Wednesday – my day for picking the prompts (woohoo!!) For the benefit of those (like myself) who were following the Weekly Photo Challenge in addition to the daily prompts, I’m proposing a word that can be used either way. At the moment we don’t have a separate page for the photo challenges, but I loved participating in the photo challenges and have selected a prompt that can be attempted for writing and/or photography.
Today’s chosen word is “smorgasbord“. What comes to your mind when you think of the word and the ways it can be used? Formulate a write-up describing the word and/or a photograph depicting what lends meaning to the word – let’s have your thoughts on “smorgasbord“.
To those participating in the daily prompts, use “ragtag daily prompt”, “RDP”, and “smorgasbord” as tags so your posts are easily accessible to fellow bloggers. For those contributing photos, use “weekly photo challenge” in addition to the other three prompts.
Being a Wednesday, you are invited to post two blogs if you want – one describing the word in text, and a separate one for the photo. Or you could just club the two. The photo option is specially for those who actively participated in the Weekly Photo Challenge.
Pingback your posts to this page or copy-paste your links in the comment thread here. Browse through what your fellow bloggers have come up with using the day’s prompt, in case you need any additional prompting.

Since we’re still in our first month, I thought of using the same word for the prompt. Let’s see the response we get. Many of my followers were participating in the photo challenges. If we get a good enough number, we could maybe have a separate page for the pics later on.

When I try to post my smorgasbord piece, it keeps saying it is a duplicate comment but none of my other attempts have shown up here. I’ve seen other people are posting fine. Why does mine not show up?

Thanks, Curious. I think it might be a good idea to mention that on your page as two other bloggers have expressed frustration because they, too, thought the pingback or comment wasn’t going through. This is not the standard on prompt sites so people are not accustomed to it. Thanks for responding as I had another frustrating day today trying to post… Best, Judy

Hi. It works with a pingback as well as a link share. All your posts are visible. It must have just taken a while to moderate them. We have fixed our settings to ward off spammers so posts might not reflect immediately unless one of us approves of them. Not to worry. They’ll show up soon enough. 🙂
